Dr. Gabriel Lockett
Dr. Lockett is the founder and director of the B.A.L.L. Research Collective and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Psychology at New York University. His work centers healing, wellness, health equity, and liberation for Black, Afro-diasporic, and LGBTQ+ communities.
His scholarship uses qualitative approaches and community-centered, social justice frameworks rooted in a Black feminist praxis to cultivate affirming spaces, strengthen collective wellness, and support culturally responsive care.
